Due to the high voltages involved in secondary ignition systems, it is not possible to make measurements by direct connection, attempting to make a direct connection will almost certainly damage the measuring instrument. The SI074 is a capacitive pickup which simply connects around the insulation of an ignition circuit component such as a plug wire, this avoids the need for direct connection. The SI074 comes with a shielded 2.5m (100 inch) lead. It is suitable for use with conventional ignition systems and most HEI and DIS systems. TSA01 15 Foot Screened Scope Leads

TSA01 test leads have been custom made for automotive use with the Automotive Oscilloscopes. TSA01 is 4.42 meters/15 feet allowing the oscilloscope to be placed on the work bench away from the car being tested / repaired. A wide range of probes, clips and gators can be plugged into the banana (4mm) connectors at the end of the cable.
The cable is fully screened to reduce noise pickup. To prevent cables getting tangled, the two wires leading to the 4mm connectors are of different lengths, the short negative lead is intended for easy connection to a convenient ground point (eg the battery), the much longer positive lead allows easy access around the engine bay. |

The TA010 has been designed to allow fuel injector and primary ignition waveforms to be measured using Pico Oscilloscope products.
The TA010 is a passive 20:1 attenuator. This means that a 20V signal at its input will appear as a 1V signal on the output. As the signal is attenuated, the TA010 allows voltages higher than the +-20V input range of the Pico oscilloscope to be measured |

is normally powered using the supplied mains adaptor. If
however you want to use the ADC-212 on the move with a
laptop, this handy lead allows you to power the ADC-212 from
the cars cigar lighter socket The curled lead, when extended is over 3 meters in length so also allows the ADC-212 to be used under the hood while taking power from the vehicle under test. |
